For those families looking for full or part-time after school care, Serious Fun offers a full after school program until 5:45pm. Each day Serious Fun provides children with a snack, child-choice time, homework help, and a minimum of 40 minutes enrichment class and 30 minutes active play.
There is a one-time non-refundable/non-creditable Registration Fee of $100 per family for the 2019-20 after school program. Additional registration fees for Recess and Summer Camps apply.
Serious Fun is available at an annual rate of $800 per enrolled day. In addition to standard enrichment classes, Serious Fun offers Premium Classes, with supplementary fees that cover partner services, materials and other program costs.
All tuition and fees must be paid in full by May 5, 2020.
Tuition may be paid In Full or in Installments. Families must provide bank account or credit card information for program fees and any additional charges, including but not limited to Registration Fee, Failed Transaction Fee, Chargeback Fee, Administrative Fee, Late Payment Fee, Late Pick Up Fee, Drop-in Fee, Change Fee, Cancellation Fee, material fees and any other fees for applicable Premium Classes.
Installments are the total due (tuition plus registration fee plus premium class fees, if any) prorated over time. Each installment is an equal amount and does not reflect the number of program days in a given month; the installment payment is the same whether there are 15 or 22 childcare days in the month. The first installment is due at the time of registration and each subsequent installment payment will be automatically processed on the 5th, or closest business day, of each month. The final installment is processed on May 5th, 2020.
Drop-in days for registered families only may be added at $35 per day and are available when requested in writing at least 2 school days before the date of service. No more than 5 drop-in days are allowed in a calendar month.
Cancellations before your child’s first day of participation:
Cancellations may be made before your child’s first day of participation in the program. In the event of such cancellation, you will receive a credit to your account of the total program fees that you paid less (A) the Registration Fee, (B) one month of program fees, and (C) all applicable Cancellation Fees.
Cancellations after your child’s first day of participation:
Cancellations will only be effective as of the last day of a month. Cancellation requires written notice on or before the 1st day of the month in which your child’s enrollment in the program will end. If paying by installment, upon cancellation you are responsible for any remaining balance due towards your Registration Fee. You are responsible for paying for all program days prior to the last day of the month in which your child’s enrollment in the program will end, whether or not your child attends. You are not entitled to pro-ration should your child stop attending before the last day of a month.
Example: If your child’s last day of enrollment will be on April 10th, you must notify Serious Fun After School, Inc. in writing on or before April 1st. Cancellation will be effective on April 30th. You will not receive any refund or credit for April 10th through 30th, however, your Child is welcome to attend the program during those days.
A $25 Cancellation Fee is charged for each class cancelled.
Child Care Vouchers
Serious Fun accepts child care vouchers from the City of New York. If you qualify for public assistance through New York City’s Job Centers, you may be eligible for free childcare while you look for work or enroll in a job training program.
