Free Musical Theater Summer Camp

CALLING CREATIVE KIDS AGES 8-13
WHO LOVE ALL THINGS MUSICAL THEATER!
Join us for a FREE 6 week summer camp program, where students will learn how to create and present a full musical theater production, from auditions to opening night.
Monday-Thursday: Doors Open at 8:00am
Program Begins Promptly at 8:30am to 4:00pm
Wednesday, July 5, 2023 – Thursday, August 10, 2023
Note: The DYCD website indicates this program is taking place at P.S.17 but the location will be at:
P.S. 166 Henry Gradstein, 33-09 35 Avenue, Queens
Students will work with industry professionals and talented artists in playwriting, music composition, costume and stage design, choreography, acting and directing–just to name few!
Arrival & Dismissal
Arrival will take place at 33rd Street at the cafeteria entrance. Please look for Serious Fun team members pictured below and/or in light or royal blue t-shirts with the Serious Fun logo.
Pick up is at the main entrance on 35th Ave and 34th St. Classes are scheduled for the full day along with recreational time and meal times.

Program Information
Days: Monday – Thursday
Time: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Each day will be filled with amazing opportunities for children to create, collaborate, and share! We request that children remain for the entire program day to maximize their experience.
Family Orientation
Friday, June 30, at 11am is our last virtual family orientation. You must attend a virtual Family Orientation Meeting in order for your child to participate.
If you have additional questions or cannot make the orientation, please reach out via email to schedule a time to speak with the team leaders.

Serious Fun After School is proud to offer this Musical Theater program for FREE thanks to the generous support of the City of New York COMPASS program–a partnership with the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD).
The students will be involved in every aspect of developing their own musical theater production and will work together to bring their creative vision to life in a live performance at the end of the program. Register today!
